An update from Christal:I recently came to Lisa for an 8 week kettlebell program, where I learned so many ways to utilize a kettlebell. I even found my inner strength as well as how much power I had in me. Lisa is an amazing coach. Eight weeks ago I started with a 15-pound kettlebell, curiosity, and a bit of hesitation. Today, I’m comfortably working with 40-53 pounds not just swinging it, but deadlifting, cleaning, squatting, and drilling with confidence and control. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, both physically and mentally.

We started with the basics: racking the bell, hike drills, drag drills, and deadlifts — foundational movements that taught me proper hinge and grip control. These drills were deceptively simple but crucial in building strength and awareness. Week by week, Lisa layered in more complex movements like goblet cleans, single arm cleans and double kettlebell front squats, which challenged my core, balance, and power output. The kettlebell swing, the heart of kettlebell training, became my benchmark. What started as a shaky movement with 26 pounds evolved into powerful, fluid sets with 40.

Learning the timing, hip snap, and tension release in the swing changed how I move, not just in training but in daily life. My posture improved. My endurance skyrocketed and my understanding of full-body tension became intuitive.

This wasn’t just about lifting heavier it was about moving better. Each drill built upon the last, reinforcing technique, stability, and confidence. The jump in weight wasn’t rushed; it was earned through consistent practice and respect for form.

“Lisa is an awesome personal trainer. We set goals and a routine after our first consultation. Every time we worked out we would try something new, like boxing, which was very fun. She’s an excellent motivator and very knowledgeable. She was engaged the whole time and not on her cell phone like other trainers I have worked with. She monitored my meals through the MyFitnessPal app and even made suggestions when I had a hard time figuring out what to eat. Lisa recorded our workouts so I could track my progress. I had great results while training with Lisa. My endurance and strength improved greatly and I looked great in my wedding dress thanks to her. “Lisa has taught me so much. Aside from showing me proper form for a diverse range of strength training moves, she’s also created a personalized nutrition plan based on my weight loss goals and diet restrictions (I am a vegetarian). I’ve recently become interested in running more and for longer distances but started to experience pain in my right IT band. Lisa programmed a running schedule along with supplemental strength and stretching circuits to target the area and now I’m pain-free! I am so grateful for her expertise. I don’t know where I’d be on my fitness journey without her.”

“What I enjoy in training with Lisa is that she takes the time to educate you with each exercise and movement.  With her it is not just a session that is crammed in an hour, it is a session that time is spent on correcting form and pushing you when she knows you can handle it.  Ultimately , I am the one that has to put in the effort, but when I have a coach that listens to my needs and wants, I leave feeling accomplished.  She takes the time to send me a circuit to do at home before our next session.  Then there is the nutrition aspect of our discussions. Again she educates you.  Both fitness and nutrition go hand in hand and she guides you each step. All I have to do is LISTEN.”

I love having Lisa as my personal trainer. She has taught me so much, especially when it comes to form. I’ve worked out for years but never really had proper training and with Lisa I feel comfortable and rarely do I have any residual pain from my workouts. I also appreciate how Lisa takes into consideration any ailments or injuries a person may have. She works around your challenges and helps to make the experience that much better. She is always available to guide you and chat whenever you have questions or concerns plus she gives great recommendations for diet as well.
